The Latvian Red Cross (hereinafter referred to as LRC) is one of the largest membership and volunteer organizations in Latvia, which has been active in humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and health care since its founding in November 20, 1918, provides assistance to people in need. Its activities cover the entire territory of Latvia – there is an LSK committee in each region, thus ensuring assistance as close as possible to where people live.
